MLK Jr is a particular type of American intellectual, which situates himself over the crowds and exclusively relies on Western rationality. By playing the game in a gray area where he conflicts with the authority but does not take any morally injustified actions, MLK Jr created support for the racial segregation issue, among the otherwise careless masses.
